Charlotte Symphony Concert and Fireworks

Don’t wait for the weekend to start celebrating. See the Charlotte Symphony perform at this mid-week concert, and stick around to see the fireworks. Free. 7 p.m. Village Park, 700 West C St., Kannapolis.

July 1

Annual Fireworks Celebration 

Visit Mount Holly for a kids’ zone, food trucks, fireworks, and live music from Coming Up Brass. Free. 6-10 p.m. Downtown Mount Holly, South Main St., Mount Holly.

July 3

July 3rd Summer Celebration and Field of Flags

See more than 600 American flags on display and enjoy food trucks, live music, and fireworks. Park at Trinity Baptist Church; shuttle service will be available. The flag ceremony begins at 5 p.m. Come early to catch the concert at 6:15 p.m. and fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Free. Lowe’s YMCA, 170 Joe V. Knox Ave., Mooresville.

Independence Day Celebration

Come out to Cramerton’s riverfront downtown and see Carolina Soul Band perform live. Families can also enjoy face painting and fireworks. Free. 6 p.m. Centennial Center, 100 Center St., Cramerton.

Red, White, and Belmont

This year’s festival will differ from previous events, but the community is invited to enjoy outdoor dining and fireworks. Free. 4-10 p.m. 24 S. Main St., Belmont.

Red, White, and Boom! – Kings Mountain

Come for the food trucks, inflatables, music, fireworks, and an all-new patriotic laser light. The laser light show begins at 9:30 p.m. and fireworks follow at 9:45 p.m. The show syncs to music on radio 101.1 FM. Free. 6-10 p.m. Deal Park Walking Track, 211 Cleveland Ave., Kings Mountain.

Red, White, and Boom! – Rock Hill

Enjoy inflatables, food trucks, and live music from Groove Machine and Kids in America followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Free. 4 p.m. Downtown Rock Hill, 144 E. Black St., Rock Hill.

July 4

Fort Mill Independence Day Celebration

See the firing of cannons and enjoy live music, vendors, food trucks, kids activities, and fireworks. The Independence Day ceremony and firing of cannons begins at 8:45 p.m. with fireworks to follow. Free. 5-9:30 p.m. Downtown Fort Mill, Main St., Fort Mill.

Kannapolis Cannon Ballers

Watch the Cannon Ballers play the Charleston RiverDogs, and stay for a fireworks show. $11-$39. 6 p.m. Atrium Health Ballpark, 1 Cannon Baller Way, Kannapolis.

Lake Wylie Annual Fireworks Display

Enjoy this community fireworks display over Lake Wylie. Viewing locations include Buster Boyd Bridge Boat Landing, Papa Doc’s outside deck, Rey Azteca deck at Lake Wylie Plaza, Lake Wylie Italian and Pizza on the patio at Lake Wylie Plaza, and Bagel Boat and Long Cove Resort. Free. 9:30-10 p.m. Buster Boyd Bridge, S.C. Hwy. 49, Lake Wylie.


After the evening game against the Norfolk Tides, WBT puts on a spectacular fireworks show that lights up the sky. $11-$65. 6:04 p.m. Truist Field, 324 S. Mint St.

Tega Cay 4th of July Celebration

Tega Cay’s patriotic festivities span the weekend with a fireworks finale on July 4 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Watch the Carolina Show Ski Team on Friday, July 2, and return for the land parade and an outdoor concert on July 3. On July 4, attend the Lions Club Fish Fry and Birthday Party at 4:30 p.m. and hang around for the firework show. Free. 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Runde Park, 5110 Windward Dr., Tega Cay.

Celebrate America Fireworks Show

Celebrate Independence Day as a family at Carowinds’ annual fireworks show. Make reservations online and catch the fireworks at 8:45 p.m. on July 3 and July 4. $45+, children 3-5 receive free admission with Pre-K Pass. Carowinds, 14523 Carowinds Blvd.

Fourth of July Celebration

Harrisburg July 4th Celebration
