OMB | The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery

At OMB, fresh isn’t just a word, it’s our way of life. That’s why you’ll never see OMB sitting “out” at room temperature; fresh beer should never get warm. That’s why our delivery trucks are refrigerated and set precisely to 38°F. And that’s why we adhere to the oldest beer purity law in the world (the renowned German “Reinheitsgebot”) that says beer should only contain 4 ingredients: malt, hops, yeast, and water. So that’s all we use for OMB – no wacky flavors, cheap ingredients, or added colors, and absolutely, positively no shortcuts. If you want to be the best, you’ve got to brew the best, and you can’t let little details like time and money get in the way. Our goal is to do whatever it takes to make the freshest beer imaginable. You can call us control freaks. You can call us fresh obsessed. You’d be right on both counts. But when you taste our beer, we think you’ll agree that it’s totally worth it. CLT Born & Brewed

A PERFECTLY NATURAL PLACE TO BE The only thing better than drinking Charlotte’s freshest beer is drinking Charlotte’s freshest beer in the city’s most unique beer-drinking location: the OMB Biergarten. Reminiscent of the world famous Biergartens of Munich, OMB’s ‘garten is a natural oasis just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of “real life.” Set on eight (yes, eight) picturesque acres surrounded by 100-year-old oak, mature pecan and hickory trees, the wide open spaces of the ‘garten make it an ideal place for families to eat, friends to meet, and even for pets to enjoy a little down time. Whether it’s a beautiful spring day playing cornhole, or a cold evening huddled around a blazing firepit, you won’t find a better atmosphere in the Queen City to enjoy a fresh, cold beer. When you’re here you may wonder if it’s the beautiful surroundings that make the beer taste soooooo good, or if it’s the remarkably fresh beer that makes the Biergarten feel like the best place on Earth. Darned if we know the answer, but we invite you to do all the necessary research here until you figure it out.
