The Yiasou Greek Festival returns to Charlotte with its 39th annual event on Sept. 8, 9, 10, and 11. One of Charlotte’s most highly anticipated cultural events, it is hosted by the parishioners of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and takes place on the church grounds at 600 East Blvd. The family friendly weekend features authentic Greek cuisine, homemade pastries, live traditional music and dancing as well as shopping and cultural exhibits

The Yiasou Greek Festival received Charlotte Magazine’s BOB (Best of the Best) Voters’ Pick Award for Best Festival in 2013.

It is always our joy and pleasure to extend our Filoxenia (hospitality) to our festival guests. Yiasou!

The Yiasou Festival has been honored to receive several awards over recent years including:

• Readers' Choice Award - Best Annual Festival in Charlotte in 2012

“The Yiasou Festival provides the opportunity and the means for us to share our rich tradition as Greek-Americans with friends and those who come to honor us and participate in the Festival. We talk about our faith and Church, offer homemade foods and pastries, play our music and perform our dances, as well as display and present our culture and heritage. The many vendors on the grounds are there to help everyone with souvenirs and items for all ages. I thoroughly enjoy myself with this amazing celebration of Ethnic Tradition. The Yiasou Festival affords a way for our hardworking people to share our traditions with a welcoming smile to our honored visitors.”
