The event unites people who are passionate about fighting cancer. By benefiting both The Lance Armstrong Foundation and local, life-changing beneficiaries, the 24 Hours of Booty experience represents hope, challenge, remembrance and celebration. Charlotte's Myers Park neighborhood is home to the original Booty Loop, and July 30-31 it will come alive as the home of 24 Hours of Booty. In parternship with presenting sponsor, Blumenthal Cancer Center, 24 Hours of Booty Charlotte will celebrate its ninth year and host 1,200 riders who will raise more than $1 milllion for cancer research and surviorship. The Booty Loop in Charlotte is a 2.97 mile loop that is covered by a beautiful canopy of trees and some of the most breath-taking homes in America. The Loop has a great mixture of hills and flats that will challenge riders at every level over the 24 hours. At the center of it all is Bootyville, hosted by Queens University at Charlotte. Bootyville becomes its own little city and also serves as the event headquarters over the 24 hours. Riders set up campsites and canopies where they can sleep, or more importantly, rest and relax with friends off of the bike. The food tent is probably the most popular place outside of the course itself. Along with the three meals riders will receive, they will have access to snacks, energy bars, water and Gatorade. Bootyville is also the site of our expo area where our corporate sponsors set up shop and offer a range of services including 24 hour bike support, raffles for special items and information about their services. Because of the Booty Loop's residential setting, you will find family, friends and Myers Park residents out supporting the riders at all hours.
